Remove What You Cannot Check
The return is durable: unlike ads, a corrected record keeps paying after the work stops. The system rewards agreement, not volume, which is why a hundred careless entries lose to twenty clean ones. Treat the name, address and phone number as a single source of truth, not as a field to be improvised per site. The record itself is unglamorous, which is exactly why it is therefore commonly left alone, once the obvious errors are gone.
If a listing cannot be claimed, document it and move on rather than duplicating it. Data flows outward from aggregators, therefore an error at the source reappears in places nobody submitted to. The gain is rarely dramatic on any single day; it shows up as more qualified enquiries over a quarter. Beyond that it is unglamorous work with an unusually reliable return.
